You Know That You're a True Trans-Mississippi Enthusiast When...


Food for thought: You know that you're a true trans-Mississippi enthusiast when... the first historical event that comes to mind when thinking of April 9th is the battle of Pleasant Hill (Louisiana) rather than the surrender of the Army of Northern Virginia at Appomattox Courthouse.

    Just the other day someone mentioned to me that there had been fighting in Virginia. I wonder what it was all about? Must have not been too significant...

    You know you are a true trans-Mississippi enthusiast when ... someone mentions the Battle of Franklin your first thought is they are using the alternate name for the Battle of Irish Bend, Louisiana.
